| Summer EDGE |

Summer EDGE is going well but there is one little problem. WHERE IS EVERYONE? Just a reminder we are having open gym and a movie every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30. So if you are just sitting at home being bored to death we would love to see you at EDGE.

| LaKe TrIp!!! |
| For all of you that missed the Shadow Lake you missed a great time. We spent the day in the canoes, swimming, and floating way to far out and almost getting hit by a boat. All in all we had a awesome time. Although some of us got sunburns. (Even though I reminded everyone to put it on so do not let your parents blame it on me :))

| FOREVER |
| Okay so I do not know about you guys but it has seemed that this break has lasted FOREVER!! Only 15 more days until we start meeting again. So hang in there it is coming soon!! |

| Thank you so much EDGE Core. You guys are great! I could not ask for a better group of leaders. Also thank you for sharing everything that God has given you with the teens. They might not show it but they really respect and look up to every one of you.

| Summer Break |
| So we have a little under a month of summer break for EDGE. Does anyone have any fun ideas on what I should do? My grandmother wants me to drive her to Oklahoma but other than that I do not have any plan. So next time you see me let me know what you are doing this summer to give me an idea on what I could do or where I could go. Oh yeah I added photos from “The Sneetches” night so check them out. <>< lh

An outstanding youth for last night would be hard to select. Everyone was AWESOME!
Extraordinary! That is what the youth here at EDGE are. I know last night was hard at first but everyone did very well. I hope that everyone understands no matter whom you are or were you are from you are welcome at EDGE. I would like to apologize for any of the youth that we might have offended. The leaders as a group thought that is was the best way to address the subject. We were impressed by your maturity. Again you guys were awesome.

| Outcast?? |
| I think at one time or another we have all felt like an outcast or that we do not fit in. That everyone just does not understand or that they just look at you and stare. We try and tell ourselves that it does not matter… it is not big deal… Actual the more we tell ourselves that the more uncomfortable and lonely we feel. We think that no one understands, but that is incorrect. No human may understand but Jesus does. Sometimes I forget the fact that there isn’t a feeling I can experience that Jesus can’t relate to or understand. Maybe this verse will help bring everything back into perspective. “Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:10 So stop, collaborate, and listen, when we are weakest we our actually strongest. <>< lh

| Just to let you know the girls and I had a BLAST last night bowling. Hope to see everyone next Wednesday we have a special night planed. It will also be a time for the eighth graders to me the AWESOME core from Lifeteen. I can not wait I am getting so excited!! |

So today I was in a hurry to get out all the postcards for the 7th of May and to have things ready for EDGE. I was getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of rushing around and realized that I was I being kinda rude so I stopped for a second... I was thinking of some that I was thankful for…. (This almost always puts me in a better mood). I looked outside and realized everything has a greenish tint. I believe it is pollen? Amazing only if pollen was in different colors imagine what it would look like. So I guess that I am thankful for the trees and not having to sneeze. So when you are getting caught everything around you takes a second because you never know what little things might make you day a little better. Until next time…

p.s Southside is putting on a play everyone should go out and support our teens. It is tonight at 7pm and on May 2nd at seven as well. Good luck!!

Okay just so you know this might be a little random at first. I will catch on sooner or later. I will give you guys a look into the crazy, fun, yet never boring life of a youth director. I also will try and pick out a teen from every EDGE night that stands out in some way. So until next time remember...
